Here’s a great opportunity to get out in the community and meet your neighbors while doing something for a good cause: The annual Dump and Donate Day is from 9 to 11 a.m. this Saturday, May 17 at the corner of Alta Vista Rd & Linden Ave. in Bethesda.

This popular event not only allows residents to donate items to charity, but it also allows you to get rid of sensitive paperwork effectively.

What Can You Tell Me About Dump and Donate?

During this annual event, a shredding truck is available for residents to dispose of all of your confidential paperwork.

What’s more, residents also have the opportunity to dispose of other items thanks to a dumpster that is provided on site. Those items prohibited from this portion of the event include paint cans (unless dry) as well as tires, appliances and food.

Simultaneously occurring will be a collection for charitable donations. Central Union Mission will issue receipts to anyone who wants to participate.

This upcoming event is an incredibly useful resource for anyone living in the Bethesda area.

Even if you don’t have sensitive documents to trash or charitable items to donate, it’s a great way to get out of the house this weekend and meet some of your neighbors.
