In 2019, U.S. News and World Report released its Best High Schools in the US report. Among that list, there were 239 Maryland schools — making it the second highest leader in high schools in the top 25% of rankings, with 43.7% of Maryland schools on the list (source).

Walt Whitman High School of Bethesda, Maryland sat proudly at the very top of the list of Best Maryland High Schools, and 93 on a list of over 17,000 High Schools. Not to mention, 145th among the nation’s best STEM schools in the U.S. Wow.
