There’s a reason that towns such as Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, and others in the DC Metropolitan area frequently make lists of top places to live in a number of publications. Home buyers tend to flock to DC, and for good reason. The area surrounding our nation’s capital is ripe with economic opportunity, family-friendly neighborhoods, high security and entertaining attractions. As a luxury real estate agent in the DC Metropolitan area, a large part of my job is selling the communities in this region. I go above and beyond just selling a home. If a buyer isn’t happy with the neighborhood that they move to, then they will likely never be 100% happy with the home they buy, no matter how wonderful it is.
I’ve come up with a list of serious selling points for the DC Metro area region. Here are a few of the top reasons why home buyers tend to seriously consider the area during their search:
You get four seasons, but a mild climate. While warmth all year round is appealing in theory, many people miss the variety of having four seasons. With that being said, the harsh winters of the Northeast and Midwest are hardly desirable, either. When you live in the DC Metro area, you get the best of both worlds. You have four seasons per year, but you also have tolerable temperatures that will allow you to fully enjoy the area year-round.
The location can’t be beat. What’s so great about Bethesda, Silver Spring and other areas in Montgomery County, MD is the close proximity to Washington DC. You can experience the fun, vibrant and vivacious lifestyle in our nation’s capitol then escape to the quieter peace of the suburban communities. With all of the cultural and entertaining attractions in the area, you will likely never be bored.
We have superior schools. Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School is frequently ranked amongst the top public schools in the nation. Your family is guaranteed a superior education. The school districts throughout the area are a major selling point for potential home buyers in the area.
There’s no shortage of economic opportunity. Given that DC is our nation’s political powerhouse, there are a number of employment opportunities in the area. The job market in the area is consistently strong, so it’s typically a popular place for people to settle down when they begin their careers.
We like variety. DC has a diverse population, and that includes a unique and varied selection of neighborhoods. From luxury homes to suburban townhouses to more urban condos and apartments, you can find a housing option that fits your needs. The DC Metro area real estate market has a lot to offer if you have the right professional helping you look.
These are just a few of the many selling points that I mention to home buyers as they look at luxury homes in the Washington DC metro area. As a seasoned real estate expert for this region, I use my knowledge of the various communities throughout Montgomery County to help my buyer clients find the neighborhood that is the best fit for them. If you have any questions about the neighborhoods in Washington DC’s Metro area, don’t hesitate to contact me! I’d be happy to help. I hope to hear from you soon!
