The Sidwell Friends School Quaker Meeting House and Arts Center in Washington, DC is a converted gymnasium. It won the Honor Architecture award in 2014. The oak flooring and paneling is made from 100% reclaimed material from barns in Maryland and West Virginia.

In 2004 the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities sponsored a project which produced 150 originally designed pandas. They were later sold to raise money for the arts. This one hangs out in front of a Chevy Chase home.
