Glenbrook Cooperative Nursery School

Since 1942, Glenbrook Cooperative Nursery has been an integral part of Bethesda. A mindset of parents, teachers, and children “growing and learning together” makes this preschool unique.

Where is Glenbrook Nursery School?

Glenbrook is located at the corner of Fernwood Road and Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda at the Bethesda United Church of Christ; however, the school is not affiliated with the Church.

What Do Parents Do At The School?

Parents are asked to participate in several ways including: regularly taking part in their child’s classroom, holding a job at the school, attending membership and classroom meetings, and engaging in the school community at social events, fundraisers, etc. Glenbrook holds regular meetings for the membership during the school year, at which attendance is mandatory.

What Is The Admissions Process?

Priority admission is based on a lottery and after that is on a first come, first serve basis. In order to be eligible for registration, families must first take a tour of the school. If openings are not available, Glenbrook keeps a waiting list of students in the order they applied. Enrollment priority is available to returning families, siblings of students, alumni families, and more.
