The State Theatre, located in Falls Church, opened its doors in 1936. It operated as a movie theatre until the late 80’s. It was the first theatre on the East Coast to have central air conditioning. After a major renovation in the 90’s, it reopened its doors and now is a popular venue for live music and private events.
