Three Ways to Support Local Bethesda MD Business This September

We all know that COVID has been hard on Bethesda businesses throughout the last few months. We’re all excited to see shops opening their doors again, restaurants setting up outside seating, and salons grooming untouched roots and overgrown split ends. These Bethesda businesses (and their surrounding Montgomery County businesses) are especially going to need your help in the coming months to stay afloat. We’ve come up with three ways to do just that.

#1 – Leave a Review

We know. It takes time to sit and write about your experience in a shop or your meal at a restaurant. But your ten minutes means the world to a small business like Bethesda’s Round House Theater or Park Potomac Yoga in Potomac, MD.

Reviews help businesses get found because they boost their SEO ranking, they give a business credibility, and best of all, they help that business connect better with you and other customers.

Here’s a few of our personal favorites for The Estridge Group:

“My stepfather passed away last August and I was left with the daunting task of taking care of my mother, who has dementia, and selling the home they shared for almost 35 years. Needless to say it seemed like a monumental task. I needed a real estate agent who offered a turnkey service to refurbish the townhouse and sell it at top dollar. Melinda and team exceeded expectations! They found the contractors, created the design, and managed the entire renovation process. Melinda gave great advice on staging and offer price and in the end we had thirteen offers within a week- at the height of COVID! Amazing! I was ecstatic- and more importantly- so was my mom!

This was the third house we have sold in the Greater Washington area. Never have we enjoyed a smoother, more professional and more satisfactory outcome than from this sale handled by the Estridge Group. From the moment we interviewed Melinda, we knew she was the right realtor for us. She had an outstanding track record and was a consummate professional. We followed every suggestion she made, which turned out to be a wise decision. We were very impressed by every member of her team, including everyone she brought in from contractors to stagers. When we went on the market, we had a remarkable response, even compared to similar homes in our neighborhood, and sold in the first week after reviewing multiple offers. We could not recommend Melinda and the Estridge Group more highly.

– Wint and Jane Palmer, Chevy Chase MD

Caroline was great! The process of selling my home was not easy. I had a lot of memories in my home. Selling it was very difficult for me personally. But Caroline was the perfect person to help me think about the big picture and understand the value of what my home was worth. Because of Caroline,  i got more money than what we asked for. I strongly suggest anyone looking to sell to contact her immediately!

As you can see, these are more than just transactions. These are personal. We touch people’s lives and because of these reviews, other potential customers get to see that. You have the opportunity to do that for us or any of your favorite local businesses in the Montgomery County area. Google, Zillow, and Yelp are all good places to do it.

#2 — Talk About Your Favorite Spots on Social Media

Are you dining out at Bethesda’s Persimmon for date night? Take a picture of those Jumbo Lump Crabcakes and post it on Instagram. Just had a great experience at Belina Boutique in Wildwood Shopping Center in Bethesda? Give them a shout out on Twitter or Facebook. Your casual but genuine mention gives that shop or restaurant great social cred.

Check out this post for La Gᴇʟᴀᴛᴛᴇʀɪᴀ in Kensington, MD.

Oh so adorable, and it makes us want to have what he’s having.

#3 — Cast your vote on “Best of Bethesda.”

It’s that time of the year for “Best of Bethesda” again, brought to you by Bethesda Magazine. An award from them is the ultimate stamp of approval from the community because the votes come from Bethesda and Montgomery County residents. This is a great way to support local shops, restaurants, salons, and contractors, and start drumming up business for everybody again.

The categories are:

  • Food & Drink
  • Arts & Entertainment
  • Sports & Fitness
  • Shopping
  • Kids
  • Best of the Rest
  • Political Year in Review
  • Fitness & Beauty
  • Health
  • Home
  • Kids & School

We would love your vote for The Estridge Group in the “Home” category. No real estate team/agent has gotten the honor of both “Best Real Estate Agent” and “Best Real Estate Team.” We’d like to be the first, and we think we can with your help!

Here’s how you do it:

  1. Click here to get to the voting page.
  2. When you get to the “HOME” category, vote “Melinda Estridge” for Real Estate Agent and “The Estridge Group” for Real Estate Team.

We know you are busy so we’re going to thank you ahead of time for using your time to vote for us. We also strongly encourage you to vote for other Bethesda businesses in the above categories. They need your support more now than ever.  As always, if there is any way we can support you, let us know. We’re proud to call ourselves a member of this community.
